5.9. Removal and engine installation

The Manufacturer recommends to take out the power unit (the engine with coupling and a transmission) downwards. The lift is For this purpose necessary above to lift a forward part of the car. In garage conditions in the absence of the lift the jack, and also strong and high enough support is required to establish on them the raised forward part of the car that will give the chance to take from under it the engine lowered on a floor of garage.

GOOD ADVICE The engine very heavy, therefore we recommend to remove it with the assistant, using the special equipment (the lift, тельфер and т.).

    

THE PREVENTION At removal and installation of the power unit in the gathering, having the big weight, apply only completely the serviceable load-lifting mechanisms calculated on corresponding loading, and especially carefully supervise correctness and reliability of joining to transport eyes of the engine of cables, a traverse, etc.

1. For convenience of work remove a cowl (Removal and cowl installation see).

2. Lower pressure in the power supply system (Pressure decrease in the power supply system see).

3. Remove the storage battery (Removal and installation of the storage battery see).

4. Remove the right mudguard of the engine (Removal and installation of mudguards of the engine see).

5. Merge a liquid from cooling system (Replacement of a cooling liquid see).

6. If remove the engine for repair, merge oil from oil картера (oil Replacement in the engine and the oil filter see).

7. Remove a belt of a drive of the compressor of the conditioner (Replacement of a belt of a drive of the compressor of the conditioner see).	8. Remove drives of forward wheels (Removal and installation of drives of forward wheels see).

    

THE NOTE Drives of forward wheels can to be disconnected from a transmission. In this case fix the drives disconnected from naves on the power unit in any accessible way (for example, adhere a wire).

9. Remove a reception pipe of system of release of the fulfilled gases (Replacement of a reception pipe see).

10. 53. Loosen the a collar of fastening of a hose of the vacuum amplifier of brakes, having compressed пассатижами its unbent ears, shift a collar on a hose …	54. … also disconnect a hose from an inlet pipe.

63. Turn away a nut of a bolt of fastening of a back support of a suspension bracket of the power unit to an arm on a transmission and take a bolt from support and arm apertures.

64. Once again check up, whether all wires, hoses and hinged knots are disconnected from the engine.

65. Raise the power unit a little, clean a support from under a transmission and lower the power unit downwards on a floor.

66. Will hang out a forward part of the car (lift the car on the lift) on height, sufficient for extraction from under the car of the power unit, and establish under a body reliable support.

67. Establish the engine both all removed knots and details in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following:

– Before installation of the power unit clear a tap of a rust carving apertures of fastening of its support;

– On a carving of bolts of fastening of support put fixing structure (for example, Loctite);

– Support of the power unit are more convenient for fixing in a following order: the back, forward left, forward right;

– Linings of a reception pipe necessarily replace new;

– At connection of wires and pipelines carefully watch correctness of their arrangement in a motor compartment, without supposing contact with heating up and moving elements of the power unit.

After engine installation execute following operations.

1. Fill in oil (oil Replacement in the engine and the oil filter see).

2. Fill in cooling liquid (Replacement of a cooling liquid see).

3. Adjust a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator and the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering (Check and adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the generator and the pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering see), and also a belt of a drive of the compressor of the conditioner (Check and adjustment of a tension of a belt of a drive of the compressor of the conditioner see).

4. Adjust a drive throttle заслонки (Adjustment and replacement of a cable of a drive throttle заслонки see).

5. Adjust a drive of management of the gear change mechanism (Adjustment of a drive of management by a transmission see).

6. Start up the engine and check up, whether there are no leaks of fuel, oil and a cooling liquid. Check up pressure of oil. Listen to the engine, it should work exactly, without extraneous noise and knocks.
