5.12.4. Replacement of a radiator of system of cooling

The radiator is subject to replacement at detection of a leak from it to a cooling liquid. In a workshop having the special equipment, the radiator can be checked up and repaired.

To remove a radiator it is more convenient in gathering with electrofans.

THE PREVENTION Remove a radiator only on the cold engine.

It be required to you: a key on 10, пассатижи with long thin sponges, a screw-driver with a flat edge.

1. Merge cooling liquid (Replacement of a cooling liquid see).

2. Separate pad a plait of wires of the basic electrofan, having pressed a spring clamp.	3. Similarly separate pad a plait of wires of the additional electrofan.

4. Loosen the a fastening collar пароотводящего a hose to a broad tank, having compressed пассатижами its unbent ears, shift a collar on a hose …	5. … also remove a hose from a radiator branch pipe.

6. Loosen the an inhaling of a collar of fastening of a bringing hose …	7. … also disconnect a hose from a radiator branch pipe.

8. Similarly disconnect taking away hose from a water distributive pipe.

9. Turn out a bolt of fastening of an arm of the top support of a radiator to the top cross-beam of a framework of a radiator …	10. … also remove an arm in gathering with a pillow of the top support.

11. Similarly dismantle the second top support of a radiator.

12. Take a radiator in gathering with electrofans from a motor compartment.

    

NOTES The rubber pillows of the bottom support established in apertures in the bottom cross-beam of a framework of a radiator are put on pins in the bottom part of each tank of a radiator. Take out them from a cross-beam if they remained in its apertures, or remove them from pins and examine. Strongly pressed out or hardened pillows replace. Similarly take out pillows from arms of the top support, examine them and if necessary replace.

13. If you removed a radiator for repair or for replacement, ослабьте a collar of fastening of a taking away hose …	14. … also remove a hose.

15. Turn out three bolts of fastening of a casing of the basic electrofan to a radiator …	16. … also remove the electrofan in gathering with a casing, having deduced the bottom right support of a casing from an arm on a radiator.

17. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a casing of the additional electrofan to a radiator …	18. … also remove the electrofan in gathering with a casing, having deduced the bottom support of a casing from arms on a radiator.

19. Wash out a radiator outside a stream of water and dry. If on plastic tanks of a radiator there are cracks, replace a radiator.

20. Check up tightness of a radiator for what muffle radiator branch pipes, bring to it air under the pressure of 0,1 МПа (1 kgs/sm²) and lower in capacity with water not less than on 30 with. Негерметичность a radiator define on leaving vials of air. If the radiator is not located in capacity completely, check it consistently from different directions.

21. Establish on a radiator electrofans and taking away hose in an order, the return to removal.

22. Establish a radiator on the car in sequence, return to removal.

    

GOOD ADVICE Further to exclude possibility подтекания a cooling liquid, before installation of hoses grease radiator branch pipes with a thin layer of silicone hermetic.

23. Fill in cooling liquid and remove from cooling system air stoppers (Replacement of a cooling liquid see).
