THE PREVENTION For environmental contamination prevention wash the engine and a motor compartment in specially taken away places equipped with the waste water drain or local treatment facilities.

If there is no possibility to dry the engine after a sink the compressed air, try to avoid water hit on electric equipment devices, high-voltage wires, ignition coils. It is forbidden to start up the engine before full removal from its surface of washing structure or water — in this case the risk of failure of an electric equipment sharply increases.

To spend a sink of the engine it is more preferable on special automobile sinks. It is standard service of the majority of automobile sinks: the engine at first process special structure, then wash manually then it rinse with water under pressure and dry compressed air. After a sink it is necessary to check up serviceability of devices of an electric equipment and engine work.

    

THE PREVENTION In the course of an engine sink it is impossible to suppose water hits on the generator, a starter and elements of a control system of the engine.

At carrying out of a sink of the engine in "house" conditions the small scraper, a painting brush, a tooth-brush (for hard-to-reach spots), capacity with water or a garden sprayer be required to you. Considerable adjournment of a dirt and oil need to be removed at first a scraper. If the scraper near at hand is not present, for removal of adjournment of a dirt and oil the screw-driver with the long handle well will approach, and it is better — a wooden shovel.
