10.3.4. Gymnastics of the storage battery

The storage battery removed from the car accurately clear, especially its top part, check up electrolit level (Service of the storage battery see) and if necessary finish it to norm (if on the car the served storage battery is established).
The battery charge a current making 10 % from rating value of a current of the storage battery, at the turned out stoppers. The battery in capacity 55 Ач is charged a current by 5,5 A.Zarjadku spend prior to the beginning of plentiful gas evolution and achievement of constant pressure and density of electrolit during 3 ч. The density of electrolit of the charged battery at 25 С should correspond to given tab. 10.4 for each climatic area.
At battery gymnastics periodically check temperature of electrolit and do not suppose its increase from above +40 С. If the temperature reaches +40 С it is necessary to reduce half зарядный a current or to interrupt gymnastics and to cool the battery to +27 С.
Gymnastics stop, when plentiful liberation of gas in all elements of the battery will begin, and pressure and the density of electrolit fixed during last three gaugings (spend through 1 ч after battery switching-off), will remain constants.
If in the end of gymnastics the electrolit density (defined taking into account the temperature amendment) differs from the value specified in tab. 10.4 modify it. At the raised density select a part of electrolit and add the distilled water. If density of electrolit below norm, that, having selected it from an element, add electrolit of the raised density (1,4 g/sm3).
After updating of density of electrolit continue battery gymnastics during 30 mines for electrolit hashing. Then disconnect the battery and through 30 mines measure electrolit level in all elements. If electrolit level appears below norm, add the electrolit which density corresponds to the given climatic area (see tab. 10.4). If level of electrolit above norm, select surplus a rubber pear.
