10.7.6. Check and replacement of gauges of a control system with the engine

The gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid is established in an end face of a head of the block of cylinders from outside 4th cylinder under the ignition coil.
The gauge represents термистор with negative temperature factor: electric resistance of the gauge decreases with rise in temperature. The controller processes a signal of the gauge and establishes optimum enrichment of a working mix at engine warming up.
At the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid check resistance on gauge conclusions at various temperature modes.
It be required to you: a key «on 19», a tester, the thermometer.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Merge cooling liquid («Replacement of a cooling liquid» see).

GOOD ADVICE
Cooling liquid can to be merged, and after gauge removal to stop up an aperture with a finger or a stopper — loss of a cooling liquid will be minimum.

3. Wring out a clamp and disconnect pad a plait of wires from the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid.

THE NOTE
Connection of the gauge with a head of the block of cylinders is condensed by a washer. Strongly pressed out washer replace new.

8. At a deviation of resistance from norm replace the gauge.
9. Screw the gauge of temperature of a cooling liquid and tighten its moment 20 Н·м.
10. Connect to the gauge pad a plait of wires.
11. Fill in cooling liquid.

The gauge of position of a cranked shaft of the engine, consisting of a magnet and a winding, is established at a gear wreath of a pulley of a cranked shaft.
At malfunction occurrence in a chain of the gauge of position of a cranked shaft the engine ceases to work, the controller brings a code of malfunction in memory and includes an alarm lamp in combinations of devices. In this case check up the gauge and a gear wreath on absence of teeths, palpation or other damages.
It be required to you: a key-shestigrannik «on 5», a tester.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Compress a clamp and separate pad a plait of wires of the gauge of position of a cranked shaft.
3. Take pad the gauge of position of a cranked shaft from the holder.
4. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the gauge …
5. … also take the gauge from an aperture in the block of cylinders.
6. Connect щупы a tester and measure resistance on conclusions «1» and «2» gauges. The resistance rating value should be within 0,5–0,6 clod. If resistance does not correspond to the specified limits, replace the gauge.
7. Establish the gauge of position of a cranked shaft of the engine in an order, the return to removal.

The gauge of position throttle заслонки represents the variable resistor which is established on an axis throttle заслонки. Axis rotation заслонки causes change of pressure of a signal of the gauge on which the controller defines degree of opening throttle заслонки.
It be required to you: two keys «on 10», a tester.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Disconnect from the gauge pad a plait of wires, having wrung out a clamp.
3. Connect a tester in a mode of measurement of resistance to conclusions "In" and From"the gauge and measure resistance at completely closed throttle заслонке. Resistance should make 1–3 clod.

    
THE NOTE
So gauge conclusions are designated.
Designations are put and on колодке a plait of wires.


4. A hand turn throttle заслонку before its full opening and again measure resistance. It should make 5,5–7,5 clod.
5. Turn out two screws of fastening …

The gauge of absolute pressure (depression) in an inlet pipe is established in a motor compartment on a board передка. 1. Check up a gauge feed circuit. For this purpose …
2. … disconnect pad a plait of wires from the gauge (at the switched off ignition) …
3. … connect a tester in a voltmeter mode to conclusions "And" and "With" колодки (designations of conclusions are put on the case колодки), include ignition and measure pressure. Pressure of a food should make (5,0±0,2) Century
4. Switch off ignition and connect pad a plait of wires to the gauge.
5. Remove with колодки its cover, having wrung out clamps, and connect pad to the gauge.
6. Connect a tester in a voltmeter mode to the wire of a plait connected to a conclusion "In", and to "weight", start up the engine and measure pressure of the gauge. At engine work idling pressure should make (1,3±0,4) Century
7. At a deviation of pressure from norm replace the gauge of absolute pressure.
8. Switch off ignition and disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
9. Disconnect from the gauge pad a plait of wires and establish to the place of its cover.
10. Disconnect a vacuum hose from the gauge.
11. Keeping bolts from проворачивания, turn on two nuts of fastening of the gauge and remove it.

12. Establish the gauge of absolute pressure (depression) in an order, the return to removal.

The gauge of speed of the car is established on a transmission. The gauge represents the Hall gauge. It gives out the pulse signal proportional to frequency of rotation of driving wheels on the electronic block of engine management.
1. For replacement of the gauge of speed disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Wring out a clamp and disconnect from the gauge of speed pad a plait of wires.
3. Turn away the gauge from a speedometer drive …
4. … also remove it.
5. Establish the gauge of speed in an order, the return to removal.

The gauge of concentration of oxygen is established on a final collector. The gauge measures the oxygen maintenance in the fulfilled gases and will transform the measured size to pressure of a signal which moves on the electronic block of engine management. Using gauge signals, the controller operates fuel injection so that to receive settlement structure топливовоздушной mixes.
If the gauge of concentration of oxygen is faulty, toxicity of the fulfilled gases can sharply raise, and the fuel expense will increase.
It be required to you: keys «on 12», a tubular key «on 22», бокорезы.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Turn out two top bolts of fastening of the thermoscreen, ослабьте the bottom bolt …
3. … also remove the thermoscreen from a final collector.
4. Have a bite a fastening collar колодки the gauge.

    
NOTES
At installation replace a collar new.
If a collar will tighten slightly it is possible not to have a bite it, and simply to pull out from under it pad the gauge of concentration of oxygen.

5. Wring out a clamp and separate pad the gauge of concentration of oxygen.
