9.10.2. Replacement brake колодок the brake mechanism of a back wheel

Is minimum admissible thickness of frictional overlays brake колодок 0,5 mm.

Replace колодки in following cases:

– A thickness of frictional overlays of less admissible;

– The surface of overlays is made oily;

– The frictional overlay is unsteadily connected to the basis;

– Overlays with deep furrows and сколами.

    

PREVENTIONS Do not apply gasoline, diesel fuel or any other mineral solvents to clearing of brakes. Колодки replace simultaneously in brake mechanisms of both back wheels.

It be required to you: a key for bolts of wheels, пассатижи or a screw-driver with a flat edge, sliding пассатижи.

1. Include I transfer and establish an emphasis under forward wheels.

2. Check up, that the lever of a lay brake has been lowered against the stop downwards (the car расторможен).

3. Remove a wheel (wheel Replacement see) and establish the car on a support.

4. If level of a brake liquid is in a tank of the main brake cylinder on a label MAX or comes nearer to it, pump out from a tank a liquid part. Otherwise at replacement колодок it can be splashed out.

5. Remove a brake drum (Removal and installation of a brake drum see).

6. Unhook пассатижами from a lobby колодки the unbent end of the top coupling spring …

THE PREVENTION At work пассатижами or a screw-driver be cautious. We recommend to use special pincers for removal of coupling springs.

7. … and, having turned the second end of a spring in an aperture back колодки, remove a spring.	8. Holding a basic rack, press a cup of fastening of a clamping spring, turn it on a turn quarter …

9. … also remove a cup and a spring …	10. … and also a basic rack.

11. Take away back pad back a little and remove распорную a lath in gathering with a backlash regulator.	12. Move back pad downwards and forward to weaken a tension of the bottom coupling spring, and remove a spring.

13. Disconnect a tip of a cable from разжимного the lever and remove back brake pad.	14. Remove from a lobby brake колодки an earring of a regulator of backlashes …

15. … a spring 1 and the lever 2 regulators.	16. Remove a clamping spring and a basic rack of a lobby колодки the same as it did for back колодки (subitem 8-10) …

17. … also remove a lobby pad.

THE PREVENTION Right after removals колодок fix pistons of the working cylinder in any accessible way (for example, pull together with a rubber plait or connect a wire), differently pistons can be pushed out from the cylinder распорной a spring and from hydrosystem the brake liquid will flow out.

18. Clear of pollution and examine details of the brake mechanism (fig. 9.6). Deformed or it is strong корродированные details replace. Strongly stretched, lost elasticity and the bent springs replace.

    

GOOD ADVICE At each dismantling of the brake mechanism replace new clamping springs, cups of springs and basic racks.

NOTES Detail of a regulator of backlashes of the left brake mechanism невзаимозаменяемы with corresponding details of the right brake mechanism (on the left and right tips of regulators there are marks LH and RH accordingly), do not mix them! Forward 1 and back 2 колодки the back brake mechanism different in a design (to back колодке with the help заклепочной axes it is attached разжимной the lever of a lay brake). Besides it brake колодки differ as left and right.

19. Put on places of a friction forward and back brake колодок about a brake board refractory greasing for brake mechanisms.	20. Grease a carving of a core 1 распорной laths with refractory greasing for brake mechanisms and screw on it up to the end a nut 2, but do not tighten it.

GOOD ADVICE We recommend at replacement brake колодок to replace распорные laths in gathering with regulators of backlashes if they have begun корродировать as at the further operation corrosion can cause refusal of a regulator of backlashes.

21. Release pistons of the working cylinder from the fixing adaptation, compress sliding пассатижами pistons of the working cylinder and establish brake колодки in an order, the return to removal.

    

THE PREVENTION Consider that at утапливании pistons in the cylinder level of a brake liquid in a tank of the main brake cylinder raises. If necessary pump out a liquid.

22. Establish a brake drum (Removal and installation of a brake drum see).

23. Adjust bearings of a back nave (Adjustment of bearings of a back nave see).

24. Adjust a backlash between brake колодками and a drum, having pressed 10–15 times a brake pedal. By each pressing regulator click should be audible. If clicks have stopped, the backlash is established.

25. Establish into place a wheel. Check up ease of its rotation.

26. Similarly replace brake колодки the brake mechanism of other wheel.

27. After installation brake колодок adjust lay brake system (Adjustment of a drive of a lay brake see).
