4.4.4. Replacement of a brake liquid in hydrodrives of brakes and coupling deenergizings

According to the manufacturer recommendation to replace a brake liquid follows through 30 thousand in km of run or in 3 years of operation (depending on that will come earlier).
    
GOOD ADVICE
The brake liquid very much гигроскопична also absorbs a moisture from air that, besides occurrence of corrosion of details of brake system, lowers temperature of boiling of the liquid, and it can lead to refusal of brakes at frequent intensive braking. Therefore we recommend to replace a brake liquid every year, in the spring.

It be required to you: keys on 9, on 10, a brake liquid, a rubber or transparent hose, a transparent vessel.
    
THE NOTE
Valves for release of air from working cylinders of back wheels are executed on a turn-key basis on 9, lobbies — on a turn-key basis on 10.

GOOD ADVICE
Replacement of a brake liquid is recommended to be spent with the assistant, preliminary having established the car on a viewing ditch or a platform (it is not required to remove a wheel).
Apply the brake liquids corresponding to class DOT-4.
Sequence of replacement of a liquid in brake mechanisms:
– The back right;
– The forward left;
– The back left;
– The forward right.

PREVENTIONS
Do not use the merged liquid repeatedly: it is polluted, sated by air and a moisture. Always add in system only a new liquid of that mark which has been filled in before.
Brake liquid гигроскопична (absorbs a moisture from air), therefore it cannot be stored in open container.
Protect the nature! Do not merge the used brake liquid in soil or sewer system. About an arrangement of points of reception of the fulfilled operational liquids in your area it is possible to learn in local authorities.

1. Turn away a stopper of a tank of the main brake cylinder.
2. Add in a tank a pure brake liquid to the bottom edge of a bulk mouth.

THE PREVENTION
Brake the car a lay brake and establish under back wheels противооткатные an emphasis ("boots").

3. Clear of a dirt valves of release of air and remove protective caps of valves of working cylinders of brake mechanisms of lobbies …
4. … and back wheels.
5. Put on a rubber hose the valve of release of air of the working cylinder of the brake mechanism of the right back wheel and ship the hose end in a pure transparent vessel.
6. The assistant should press sharply a pedal of a brake four-five times (with an interval between pressing 1–2) then to keep a pedal of the pressed.
7. Turn on on 1/2–3/4 turns the valve of release of air. The old (dirty) brake liquid will start to follow from a hose. The brake pedal should reach at this time smoothly against the stop. As soon as the liquid will cease to follow, wrap the valve of release of air.

THE NOTE
Constantly watch liquid level in a tank, without supposing its decrease to a label MIN on a tank wall. If necessary add a new brake liquid not to admit air hit in a hydrodrive. Thus gradual replacement of an old liquid of new hydrosystem without drainage is provided.

8. With the same way replace a brake liquid in the working cylinder of the brake mechanism of the left forward wheel.
9. Then replace a brake liquid in the second contour (at first in the working cylinder of the brake mechanism of the left back wheel, then right forward).
10. Repeat operations 5–9 before full replacement of a liquid in a drive (the pure liquid should follow from a hose without air vials).
11. After replacement of a brake liquid necessarily put on protective caps valves of release of air.
12. Check up quality of the performed work: press some times a brake pedal — the course of a pedal and effort on it should be identical by each pressing. If it not so, return to performance of operations 5–9.
13. For replacement of a brake liquid in a hydrodrive of deenergizing of coupling remove a protective cap from the valve for removal of air of the working cylinder.
14. Put on the valve a hose and lower its end in capacity with a small amount of a brake liquid. Ask the assistant to press a pedal of coupling of 4-5 times with intervals 2–3 with, and then to keep its pressed. Turn out the union on 3/4 turns. The hose in capacity will leave an old (dirty) brake liquid.
15. Wrap the valve and ask the assistant to release a coupling pedal.
16. Repeat operations 14 and 15 before full replacement of a liquid in a hydrodrive of deenergizing of coupling (the pure liquid should follow from a hose without air vials).

THE PREVENTION
During hydrodrive prorolling periodically check liquid level in a tank of the main brake cylinder, the general for hydrodrives of brakes and coupling deenergizing. Do not suppose falling of level of a liquid in it below a label МIN. In due time add a liquid, differently air will get to system and it should be pumped over.

17. Wrap the valve, put on a protective cap.
18. Add a brake liquid to level between labels MIN and MAX on a wall of a tank and wrap a stopper.
19. Establish details in an order, the return to removal.
