4.3.19. Check of tightness of a hydrodrive of brakes

For the prevention of sudden refusal of brake system carefully check a condition of all pipelines. Replace details new if there is the slightest doubt in their suitability. All rubber details of brake knots (hoses, cuffs and so forth) irrespective of their condition replace new through 100 000 km of run or in five years of operation (depending on that will come earlier) to warn sudden ruptures because of ageing.

GOOD ADVICE The brake liquid very much гигроскопична also absorbs a moisture from air that, besides occurrence of corrosion of details of brake system, lowers temperature of boiling of the liquid, and it can lead to refusal of brakes at frequent intensive braking. Therefore we recommend to replace a brake liquid not less often than an once in two years.

Check tightness external examination:

– From above from under a cowl;

– From below the car (on the lift or in a viewing ditch);

– From sides of the car with the removed wheels.

GOOD ADVICE Survey of a part of the hydrodrive working under pressure, spend with the assistant. It should press four-five times a brake pedal (thus to create pressure in a hydrodrive) and to keep its pressed until you do not examine a hydrodrive. Survey of the hydrodrive which is not under pressure, let us assume, but is less effective.

    

NOTES At detection of infringement of tightness of connections tighten collars, заглушки, nuts. Hoses and pipelines with mechanical damages replace. If негерметичны working cylinders, repair or replace them.

It be required to you: special keys for nuts of fastening of pipelines or keys on 9, on 10, on 12.

So the special key for nuts of fastening of pipelines looks.

1. Examine a tank of the main brake cylinder …	2. … and connections of pipelines and regulators of pressure with the main brake cylinder.

3. Check up, whether there is no leak of a liquid from connections of brake tubes with hoses of forward brake mechanisms.

4. Carefully examine brake hoses and their connections with brake mechanisms. Hoses should not have cracks, anguishes and attritions. Press against the stop a brake pedal: if on a hose there were swellings, means, threads of a braid of a hose have torn and it is necessary to replace it.

5. Examine connections of hoses with working cylinders and valves for release of air of brake mechanisms of forward wheels.	6. Check up connection of brake tubes with hoses of back brake mechanisms and with connecting муфтами.

7. Examine connection of brake tubes with working cylinders of back wheels and valves of release of air.	8. Check up fastening of pipelines in holders on the body bottom...

9. … on the right side of a fuel tank …	10. … over a beam of a back suspension bracket …

11. … and on the lever of a back suspension bracket. Replace the damaged holders as their easing or breakage leads to vibration and, as consequence, to breakage of pipelines.
