4.2.1. Check of wheels

It be required to you: a manometre, the pump, a calliper.

GOOD ADVICE Periodically check pressure of air in tyres (tab. 4.2). The raised or lowered pressure leads to premature deterioration of tyres, deterioration of controllability and stability of the car. We recommend to use the foot pump with the built in manometre.

That tyres wore out in regular intervals, through each 10 000 km of run rearrange wheels according to the scheme on fig. 4.1.

1. Turn away a cap from the gate.	2. Check up pressure of air in the tyre. For this purpose dump manometre indications on a zero, having pressed the special button on the manometre case, connect a manometre to the gate and press a zolotnik of the gate a manometre tip.

3. If pressure less demanded, connect a hose tip to the gate and pump up air, supervising pressure on a manometre.	4. If pressure more demanded, press a special ledge of a manometre on a tip of a zolotnik and let the air out from the tyre. Measure a manometre pressure. Repeating these operations, finish pressure to norm.

5. If you have noticed that pressure of air in tyres constantly falls, try to wrap more tightly a zolotnik by means of a cap with a key.

    

THE NOTE So the protective cap with a key for a zolotnik inhaling looks.

    

THE PREVENTION In order to avoid pollution of zolotniks do not maintain the car without protective caps. If caps have been lost, necessarily establish the new.

6. To check up tightness of a zolotnik, wet a gate aperture.	7. If there were vials of leaving air, replace a zolotnik, having turned out faulty by means of a cap with a key.

8. Measure by a calliper residual depth of a protector. If depth of a protector of 1,6 mm or less, replace the tyre.	9. If near at hand there is no calliper depth of a protector can be checked up visually on indicators of deterioration of the tyre in the form of continuous cross-section strips on a protector.

    

THE NOTE The locations of indicators are marked on боковине tyres by a triangle or letters TWI.
