1.5. Heating (air-conditioning) and salon ventilation

Systems of ventilation, heating and the air conditionings established on the car, effectively operate at the closed windows and represent the uniform complex providing as much as possible comfortable conditions in the car irrespective of weather conditions and an ambient temperature. The temperature in salon is regulated by mixing of cold and hot air. The block of cooling of a central air reduces temperature and humidity of air, clears it of a dust. The heater raises air temperature at any operating modes of system.

The complex provides quick-response regulation of temperature of air, almost not dependent on speed of movement of the car. The quantity of air arriving in salon basically is defined by a fan operating mode, therefore it needs to be included even in time of movement with high speed.

External air can arrive in salon through windows of doors at the lowered glasses and воздухонагнетатель, located before a windscreen. Air from воздухонагнетателя can arrive in car salon through nozzles обдува a windscreen, lateral and central nozzles, and also through the bottom nozzles of the case of a heater.

Volume, temperature, direction and intensity of air streams regulate the switches established in the block of management of systems of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning.

The direction of a stream of air through lateral and central nozzles can be changed turn дефлекторов (in a vertical direction) and shutters (in a horizontal direction).

For increase in intensity of giving of air in salon during movement and maintenance of giving of air in the motionless car include the switch handle one of four operating modes of the fan воздухонагнетателя.

For change of a direction of giving of air choose the handle of a regulator of distribution of streams of air one of four variants (clockwise):

– Air giving in the top part of salon (through lateral and central nozzles of the panel of devices);

– Air giving in the top and bottom parts of salon (through lateral and central nozzles of the panel of devices, and also through the bottom nozzles of the case of a heater);

– Air giving in the bottom part of salon (through the bottom nozzles of the case of a heater);

– Air giving on a windscreen (through nozzles обдува a windscreen).

For cooling of air arriving in salon of the car, press the button of inclusion of the conditioner (if it is established on the car) – in it the control lamp of green colour will light up. For conditioner deenergizing repeatedly press the button.

THE NOTE The conditioner will not join, if the switch of operating modes of the fan воздухонагнетателя is established in position OFF (the fan is switched off) or air temperature more low 0 С. It is not a malfunction sign, and is provided by a design.

THE PREVENTION Conditioner inclusion in an engine operating time under trying conditions (long liftings, intensive city movement and so forth) can lead to an engine overheat. Watch indications of the index of temperature of a cooling liquid: if the temperature exceeds admissible value, switch off the conditioner. At long trips in the conditions of city movement the conditioner overall performance can decrease because of an intense thermal mode of the engine. It is not a malfunction sign, at movement in normal road conditions the conditioner will work effectively.

For mode inclusion рециркуляции move the lever заслонки a mode рециркуляции to the right. At the included mode рециркуляции external air does not arrive in salon, and the fan воздухонагнетателя provides air circulation in salon. This mode use for fast warming up of salon in a cold season, and also at the raised dust content and an air gassed condition.

THE PREVENTION Long inclusion of a mode рециркуляции is not recommended during car movement as it usually leads запотеванию glasses.

Depending on various combinations of inclusion of switches of the block of management the heating and ventilation system works in following basic modes:

– The maximum mode of cooling. It is used in hot weather and after long parking on the sun for fast cooling of air in salon. In this case before conditioner inclusion it is recommended to open for a short while windows to remove from salon нагретый air.

Switches of the conditioner and рециркуляции air should be included;

– A normal mode of cooling. It is used at trips on a city and in the country at moderately warm weather. The conditioner switch should be included, the switch рециркуляции — is switched off;

– A ventilation mode. It is used in inter-season period for which the lowered temperature and a sunlight lack are characteristic;

– The maximum mode of heating. It is used at very low ambient temperature and for fast warming up of air in salon after long parking. The conditioner switch should be switched off, the switch рециркуляции — is included;

– A normal mode of heating. It is used in a cold season for maintenance of optimum temperature of air in salon after its intensive warming up in the maximum mode of heating. Switches of the conditioner and рециркуляции air should be switched off;

– A mode обдува a windscreen and glasses of forward doors. It is used for fast elimination запотевания glasses at the raised humidity of air. The conditioner switch can be in any position depending on an ambient temperature, and the switch рециркуляции should be switched off.

THE NOTE That glasses did not mist over in rainy weather, include their mode обдува at the switched off heater as the difference of values of temperature of a surface of glass and submitted air can cause moisture condensation.

GOOD ADVICE For more effective action of ventilation and heating at speed of movement of the car less and at journey of especially dusty sites of roads with the closed windows (for creation of superfluous pressure of air in the salon, preventing подсос a dust) the heater fan for small or maximum speed is recommended to include than 50 km/h the switch. For the accelerated elimination запотевания back glass and its clearing from наледи and snow include the switch glass heating. If you do not use the conditioner long time, it is necessary once a week for a short while to include it at the working engine for restoration of a layer of greasing on details of the compressor and consolidations.
